Guard and Dog Security Teams- the people problem solvers.
Powered by our sister company, Hardcore Security Services.
Common situations that we provide custom solutions for include:
-Industrial sites and hardstands -with repeat break ins, copper theft, diesel theft, fire alarm panels down for repairs, fence damage etc.
-Events- overnight asset protection of high value assets. Event organisers need peace of mind that how they leave the site will be how it looks the next morning- there is no time to fix stolen or vandalised setups with a tight bump in schedule.
-Marina security - patrols of clubhouses, carparks, marina fingers, hardstands. Every night we relocate fishermen and unauthorised persons. Most of the time, they see the guard approaching with the dog and start packing up before we get a chance to speak with them.
The primary risk to boats in a marina is 1. fire and 2. sinking. CCTV cameras plastered everywhere will not save boats. They cant smell smoke, they can’t evacuate people. They can’t use a fire hose or extinguisher. Only a trained person walking around at 3am will save your boats and the people on board them.
A boat fire in a marina, unless caught early with onsite primary response, will result in the loss of multiple boats. Owners pride and joy. Insurance payouts cannot replace photos, personal items, memories, and all the hard work that goes into maintaining an owners pride and joy.
For less than a coffee per boat owner per day, you can have a trained guard patrolling your marina facility all night. Awake, observant, aware.
-Schools (private and public). Canines are very effective at deterring damage, arson, and promote staff safety for cleaners and teachers working after hours. We also supply adhoc services for schools before exams (high risk), during public holidays and weekend daytime patrols, which is a common time for arson, trespassing and damage to property.
Safety around children, staff and parents is paramount. Our working dogs are under full control of an experienced handler at all times. Our trained and mentally balanced K9s are safe have worked well in and around kids for years. We can supply WWCC (Blue Card) approved staff as required.
-Construction sites and vacant buildings/ pre-demo sites.
Intruder damage can affect the on time delivery of the project with huge financial and delay costs from remedial work. Security is a proactive game- our goal is to SAVE you money.
Site pole CCTV alarm systems are very popular and great for detecting and alerting the control room to intruders onsite (or for sending alerts to your site supervisor who is fast asleep at 2AM and doesn’t hear his phone). But the bad guys are often in and out in less than 10 minutes- well before arrival of police or a security patrol. Urgent Police response times vary between 9 minutes, up to 3.5hrs (in cases we are aware of).
CCTV cameras are great for replaying HD video of your valuable equipment walking offsite, never to be seen again. Most offenders cover their faces, and remove number plates, so your chances of police recovering your tools and supplies are next to nothing.
Smart builders use K9 teams at times of highest risk- just before handover when tools, appliances/ equipment are partially installed, or during cabling/plumbing rough in when there is lots of exposed copper, ripe for thieves to harvest.
Our Dog and handler teams deploy with site required PPE, inductions, white cards etc.
-Have multiple sites and equipment storage compounds in one area? Our mobile K9 unit can float between your sites randomly and rapidly respond to motion alarms well before police. We have worked with projects in rural areas who were having repeated frustrations with long police and security patrol response times to thieves and protestors onsite.
-Community Watch Night Patrols. Sick of property crime in your community/ body corporate community? Get in touch with us and we will conduct an onsite survey and formulate a plan to "clean up" your neighborhood and give you and your family peace of mind at night.
Static guards are trained to "Observe and report"- What BS.
Ask your current security company what their operating procedures for their staff are if they spot intruders onsite.
Most of their site orders will instruct their guards to run back to their vehicles, call police, and "observe and report" from the car.
Dog handlers: Observe, Report and ACT.
For an extra few dollars per hour you get an experienced guard with a trained security dog who will actually do something to protect the assets, and people on your site.
Dogs also have enhanced smell and hearing and will often pickup on intruders hiding onsite or nearby which a static guard would normally walk past.
“The presence of a guard and dog combo usually deters 90% of grubs who mean to do harm to your site and people…” Tony C., Facility Manager
Our experienced K9 units deploy complete with:
-Two way radios or monitored duress buttons
-High definition body-cameras
-Fire extinguishers and trauma/ advanced first aid kit, dog first aid equipment including rehydration fluids
-Temporary 12v or 240v lighting for fence lines and dark corners,
-Traffic cones and barriers,
-Portable fence intruder alarms with sirens
-“K9 onsite” security signage for your fencing and entries- which makes most intruders walk straight past.
We encourage you to start considering utilizing dog and handler teams into your security plans. Maximize your value for money!
We offer an old school, Hardcore, approach to security and will not work with customers who expect our crew, or your staff, to be “hands off” punching bags for undesirables. Our teams get results for our clients through our professional, proactive approach, not wishful thinking.

FAQs
Do your dogs bite? Our dogs are highly trained to defend the handler and will take defensive action if they deem the handler or the dog feels that it is in danger.
Since our inception, we have not had an unjustified bite. Our focus is on reducing risk for our clients and delivering results.
Blood all over the concrete is not a good look for us, or your business.
Are the dogs dangerous? No. Our dogs are highly trained and are under the control of the handler at all times. We have worked over the years in and around people doing community patrols, crowd control at football games, shopping centers and other crowded places without incident.
Our dogs can wear muzzles during busy times as a further safety measure if the handler’s dynamic risk assessment determines it is required.
Can you leave the dogs overnight unattended in our yard and collect them in the morning? No. It’s a risk management nightmare and not effective security as often these untrained dogs are bashed or baited by intruders.
Can you arrest people? Our Standard Operating Procedures encourage handlers to take initiative when the situation warrants and detain offenders in accordance with QLD law and hand them over to police with bodycamera footage of the offence- leading to a high prosecution rate.
Selected canine teams are trained and equipped with handcuffs and industry specific PPE including extendable batons, bodycameras and monitored duress alarms to protect themselves and others including your staff or family.
Can I pat your dog? For safety and operational reasons, we generally do not allow our dogs to get pats while working.
Do your dogs live in concrete kennels in an industrial area? No, they live at home with their handlers and enjoy great off-duty conditions.
How much? A K9 unit at your site starts from $500+ GST per night. We are a premium service provider, not the cheapest or the biggest, and we certainly don’t provide a bums-on-seats approach as do other companies. Our rates are fixed and our teams are always busy working from client referrals.
Are you insured? We are QLD Licensed and insured ($20 Mil) to provide services and physical security consultancy.
Do you provide K9 services for other security companies? Wholesale/ Sub contract enquiries welcomed for short term projects. We have subbied for many local and national companies over the years and produced great results for their clients.
Do you sell or train security dogs? No. We can refer you to professional breeders and trainers who we trust.
Do you also supply unarmed static guards? Yes. Experienced, fluent English speaking guards with 24/7 K9 support.
